Welcome to Welly’s!
Welly’s Real Fruit Ice Cream opened in July 2021 by Lillie & Jacob. When Lillie finished college, she decided to head to New Zealand for a year, picking up different jobs along the way as she traveled the country. One of these jobs was at a small ice cream shop in a town called Tairua. It was here that she learned of real fruit ice cream - a scoop of ice cream, blended with a scoop of real fruit. Yum.
Lillie & Jacob operated their first season from a converted horse trailer before expanding to a storefront inside the Port Angeles Wharf in June 2022. After 5 years of owning & operating Welly’s, they “passed the cone” along to new owners Melanie & Erik!
Melanie and Erik are Port Angeles locals who are excited for the next chapter of Welly’s Ice Cream as they continue to build relationships within the community through ice cream.
Why Welly? Welly is named after Wellington, the capital of New Zealand! Lillie spent 3 months living and working in this city and she’ll always have a little crush on it.

10% of our sales every Friday goes to Olympic Angels. Their mission is to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.

PNW berries are delicious! We source as much fruit as we can locally from Graysmarsh in Sequim when in season.

Pet Emergency Group
We love our furry friends! Proceeds from sales of our pup cups (a tiny scoop of plain ice cream with a dog treat on top) go towards PEG's efforts to establish after-hours emergency pet care on the Olympic Peninsula.

We use this Washington made ice cream as the base in our real fruit creations & work with them to create custom scoop flavors as well.
